What Is The Difference Between Surviving and Thriving?
Most entrepreneurs are technical experts in what they do and start their businesses without any formal training or experience in leadership practices and principles. Initially, this does not pose many problems, but once a business emerges from the “Start-up” phase of operations, many run into trouble.
A recent study conducted by the U.S. Small Business Administration found that owners of successful businesses spend more time developing leader behaviors than their counterparts at unsuccessful businesses. The study found that entrepreneurs must evolve, morph or otherwise change from a manager of things to a leader of individual behavior and from a technical expert to an inspirational force.
