Thanks Art - Thoughts about losing our loved ones always wake us up and help us to realize the temporary nature of the things we take for granted. I am happy to know that you are giving more to those who matter most. I am sure your life is full. How can you raise the bar? - Andrew

Hi Andrew :

Very touching indeed and while, I am happy about you and inspired from your story, I am really struggling to make it ALL HAPPEN in my case, although I think I have answers to all the Qs and working hard in my own way to get the act and two (2) and two (2) and other bits and pieces together ... but its taking toooooooooo long and seems like, I am breaking down and therefore ... I feel the survival is difficult if not impossible under life changing process of meaning & purpose

(For some reason we think our survival depends on it .... Of course this is not true.)

Am I getting what I want out of life? Not much ...
Am I looking for ways to make my aspirations and dreams a reality? Surely YES ...
Do I know who I want to be when I grow whole? I think so ....

 1. I work at what I love to do ... Trying desperately with hiccups;
 2. My daily choices are driven by a strong sense of purpose ...
yes with ups & downs
 3. There is a clear alignment between what I say my priorities are, and how I spend my time....
Definitely trying to work with dots and dashes in between
 4. I invest in making a difference in the lives of others...
Trying desperately with lots of opposition / bumps on the road and missing links
 5. I know what I would like to be remembered for... look at my note

I wish to realize my God gifted GREAT potentials. I perceive myself as creative Genius as molded by the Creator in his own image with the shinning brilliant creative intellect, peace with all the natural & Universal – Creative Truths for this, I need a nurturing environment along with freedom at all levels.

EPITAPH: Er. ANUP BAGLA
“Here lies a person who gave or has given his life for development of scientific temper, sustainable development, concern for environment, Life & liveliness and making life easier for others by development of innovative products and processes, left the world a little better by a garden patch, greener and cleaner technologies, doing good and being good on a personal level across the society in general…a Great writer, Engineer, scientist and inventor”

…..to sum up: Live & let live, do not harm / hurt anyone, have worthwhile goals for green belt / patch, living this planet a better place than before; doing and being good

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest
critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty,
to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether
by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is the meaning of success."

-Ralph Waldo Emerson

There should not be the feeling that I am taking more than giving...

Andrew,

Am inspired about your dad's story... 2 years ago, I almost lost my mom. My life came to a FULL stop & immediately thought how short life can be. It was an eye opener & it made me appreciate so much more. I was going full force for so long that I wasn't paying full attention to people who love me most.. Awesome article.
Thanks Susan - I hope you will feel inclined to regularly contribute - we all need each other to truly make sense of things and to see them as they really are. I am glad you stepped forward :)

You know, I have to tell you, I really enjoy this blog and the insight from everyone who participates. I find it to be refreshing and very informative. I wish there were more blogs like it. Anyway, I felt it was about time I posted, I?ve spent most of my time here just lurking and reading, but today for some reason I just felt compelled to say this.
